China's Intelligent Manufacturing Safeguards the Gulf's Pearl: Xingke Electrical Group Wins Doha's 22 Explosion-Proof High-Mast Lighting Projects

Mar.03.2025
(Xingke Electrical Group Headquarters, May 20, 2024) Against the backdrop of Qatar's accelerated implementation of its "National Vision 2030" and urban safety upgrades, China's Xingke Electrical Group officially announced today a strategic cooperation with the Doha Municipal Government to customize 22 intelligent explosion-proof high-mast lighting systems for Doha's core industrial zones and ports. This project not only marks another breakthrough for China's high-end equipment in the Middle East market but also signifies international recognition of Chinese explosion-proof lighting technology in demanding applications.
Illuminating "Safety": Solving Lighting Challenges in High-Risk Scenarios
As a vital energy hub and trading port in the Gulf region, Doha's petrochemical parks, LNG storage and transportation bases, and freight terminals have extremely high requirements for special lighting equipment. Traditional lighting facilities pose significant safety hazards in high-temperature, high-humidity, and flammable/explosive environments. The explosion-proof high-mast lights won by Xingke Electrical Group will be deployed in key areas such as the Ras Laffan Industrial City and Hamad Port in Doha, covering an area of over 500,000 square meters. They will provide "zero-risk" lighting support for night operations, emergency responses, and round-the-clock surveillance.
"This system is the 'night watchman' of industrial safety," said Chen Tao, Director of Xingke Electrical's Middle East Division. He noted that once the project is implemented, the accident risk in the relevant areas will be reduced by 40%, while port operation efficiency will increase by 30%, helping Doha create a benchmark for a "smart and safe Gulf port."
Technological Breakthrough: Full-Chain Innovation from Explosion-Proof to Intelligent Control
To meet the extreme environmental challenges in Doha, Xingke Electrical independently developed the "Hurricane-II" explosion-proof high-mast light. The lamp body is made of aerospace-grade titanium-magnesium alloy and nano-sealing technology, ensuring stable operation in environments with temperatures up to 80°C, humidity levels of 95%, and IIC-class explosive gases. Integrated with an AI vision perception module, the system can automatically detect anomalies such as smoke and leaks and trigger alarms, achieving integrated protection of "light-electricity-control."
More notably, the lamp is equipped with Xingke's proprietary "StarLink" energy management system, which uses photovoltaic complementary power supply and intelligent dimming algorithms to save 60% energy compared to traditional high-mast lights. Ahmed Al-Sani, an expert from Qatar's Ministry of Energy, praised, "These lamps are not just lighting devices but IoT terminals embedded with Chinese intelligence."
Local Integration: Empowerment through Education and Industry
The project embodies the cooperative philosophy of "teaching how to fish." Xingke Electrical will co-build a "Middle East Gulf Explosion-Proof Lighting Joint Laboratory" with Doha University of Technology to train 200 local special equipment engineers. Additionally, a component assembly center will be established in the Wakrah Free Zone to promote local production of core explosion-proof light components. "In the next five years, explosion-proof lights made in Qatar will bear the label of 'Chinese Technology, Gulf Manufacturing,'" said Jin Baotai, Chairman of Xingke Electrical, at the signing ceremony.
Green Commitment: Every Beam of Light is a Sustainable Development Answer
The project's environmental design spans its entire lifecycle. The lamp post coating uses marine biobased eco-friendly materials to reduce the ecological burden on the Persian Gulf. Old lamps will be 100% recycled and regenerated by Xingke's team. Furthermore, the group announced that 5% of the project's revenue will be donated to Doha's "Youth Science Light" program to support energy innovation education.
Jean Dubois, President of the International Explosion-Proof Equipment Association (IEAEx), commented, "Xingke Electrical has redefined industry standards—safety, intelligence, and responsibility have never been so closely integrated."

Conclusion: Where Light Reaches, the Future Lies
When the 22 silver lamp posts, each 35 meters high, stand by the Persian Gulf, Xingke Electrical will not only ignite the 1,600 explosion-proof lights but also build a bridge of trust between Chinese intelligent manufacturing and a world-class energy hub.
It is reported that the first set of high-mast lights completed a full-scenario stress test at Qingdao Port on May 18, 2024, and is about to embark on its journey to the Gulf. This land, once celebrated in "One Thousand and One Nights," is now writing a new chapter of the intersection of modern technology and ancient civilization.
